Central Bank of India (CBoI) invites online applications for Recruitment of Clerks. 

Online Application Starts:- November 09, 2010

1163 (GEN: 588, SC: 201, ST: 113, OBC: 261)

Pay Scale:- Rs. 7200-19300

Age Limit (as on November 01, 2010):- 18-28 years (relaxation as per rules)

Educational Qualification: (As on November 01, 2010)

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

OR

A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) /11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination/Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Government or U.T. administration.

OR

A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.

Relaxation is qualification as per rules

Application Fee:- SC/ST/PH/XSM: Rs. 50

Others: Rs. 250

The application fee is to be deposited in any CBS branch of Central Bank of India.

Selection Procedure:
Selection will be made on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview.

(A) Written Test:
a. Objective Tests (95 Minutes, 200 Questions):

(i) Test of Reasoning Ability

(ii) Test of English Language (Qualifying Only)

(iii) Test of Numerical Ability

(iv) Test of Clerical Aptitude

There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the objective test. The candidates shall be required to qualify in the objective test separately.

b. Descriptive Tests:

It will consist of 5 compulsory questions with internal options, to assess knowledge on Socio-Economic Developments and Communication skills. The descriptive test is only a qualifying test.  Candidates have an option to answer Descriptive Tests paper either in English or Hindi or in the official Language of the state/Union Territory for which they have applied.
